Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. This is a full-time or part-time position with a focus on patient evaluation and treatment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess occupational performance and identify areas of need.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and needs.
- Provide direct therapy interventions to patients across the lifespan, adapting treatment approaches to meet age-specific requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Document patient progress accurately and thoroughly in accordance with established guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Lymphedema certification is preferred, but Augusta Health will cover the cost of training for qualified candidates.
