Position Overview:
As a Permanent Mechanical Systems Estimator, you will play a crucial role within our construction team, ensuring the successful execution of our projects. You will collaborate closely with our project management team, clients, and contractors to deliver precise cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems. Your responsibilities will also encompass conducting thorough mechanical systems analysis and utilizing CAD software to develop detailed designs. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Generate comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical systems, factoring in materials, labor, and equipment.
  2. Perform mechanical systems analysis to detect potential challenges and propose effective solutions.
  3. Employ CAD software to create intricate designs for mechanical systems.
  4. Engage with project management, clients, and contractors to ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of cost estimates.
  5. Examine project plans and specifications to uncover potential cost-saving measures and risks.
  6. Participate in project meetings to provide updates on cost estimates and address any arising issues.
  7. Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact cost estimations.

Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, particularly in mechanical systems within the construction industry.
  2. Demonstrated experience as an HVAC Estimator, Plumbing Estimator, or in a similar capacity.
  3. In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
  4. Proficiency in CAD software.
  5. Strong analytical abilities, capable of conducting detailed mechanical systems analysis.
  6. Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  7. Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the production of accurate and thorough cost estimates.
  8. Familiarity with construction industry regulations and standards.
  9. A degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  10. Certification as a Professional Estimator or equivalent is advantageous.
