As an Overnight Support Specialist at Intercept Health's Youth Quest, you will serve as a constructive role model for residents, guiding them in developing socially effective values, attitudes, and behaviors. You will play a crucial role in the creation and execution of the residents' transitional living plans, assisting with life skills education, transportation, and various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize strong interpersonal communication skills to foster resident cooperation and resolve conflicts. Maintain professional relationships without disclosing personal information.
- Provide transportation and directly supervise residents during outings, activities, and appointments within the community.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene practices and the upkeep of their living spaces. Support residents in meal preparation and guide them in housekeeping and laundry tasks; monitor the completion of weekly chores.
- Implement a fair and consistent behavioral management system.
- Oversee the administration of medications as necessary.
- Ensure residents adhere to curfews and document all incidents in the communication log, reporting to the Life Skills Coach or Program Supervisor as needed. Maintain accurate records regarding resident behavior, critical incidents, and other relevant information.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in human services (Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, etc.) or a High School diploma with a minimum of one year of experience working with children and/or families.
