About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Program Leader for Girlstart to join our team. As a Program Leader, you will be responsible for inspiring girls to take on the world's greatest challenges by delivering engaging and interactive STEM activities.

About the Company

Girlstart is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing girls' interest and engagement in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through innovative, nationally recognized informal STEM education programs.

Our After School programs meet once a week for an hour immediately after the school day, providing 20-25 girls with a free STEM enrichment program that builds confidence and encourages them to pursue paths to higher education and to discover greater career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead 2 After School programs per week, approximately 6 hours/week
  • Deliver engaging and interactive STEM activities to groups of girls
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local schools and community partners
  • Collaborate with the North Texas Senior Program Coordinator to ensure smooth program operations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (STEM background not required)
  • Experience working with kids preferred
  • Comfortable presenting to a group of girls
  • Classroom management skills helpful
  • Proficient using Google Drive apps
  • Strong time management skills
