We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at UNC Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data.
- Prepare for and assist the radiologist in completion of intricate radiographic procedures, including preparation and administration of contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Perform patient assessments and provide patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients at all times.
- Evaluate the appropriateness of examination and assess the quality of radiographic images.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of all aspects of General Diagnostic Radiology, adhering to Departmental Protocols and Policy and Procedures of UNC Healthcare System.
- Ensure that patient demographic, emulsion markers, and examination requested are correct, and critique, orient, and save all pertinent images.
- Transmit QA-ed images to PACS, ensuring that all images reach PACS, and document completion and/or cancellation of all procedures in RIS.
- Maintain image management equipment, reporting any equipment problem to appropriate resources, and utilize PACS and HIS system for obtaining additional study data.
- Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
- No prior experience required.
- Sign-On bonus.
