HSHS St. John's Hospital is a leading healthcare organization that values excellence in patient care. Our nursing residency program is designed to support the transition of new nurses from student to professional practice.
We are committed to providing a dynamic and engaging experience that fosters quality, compassionate care for our patients. Our program combines classroom lectures, hands-on activities, clinical scenarios, and simulation to ensure our new nurses are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their clinical practice.
Program Highlights- Starting hourly base rate of $34/hour
- Sign-on bonus for applicable departments
- Monthly support sessions featuring topics to strengthen and enable new nurses with skills and strategies for success
To be eligible for this program, candidates must:
- Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Have previous healthcare or service industry experience (preferred)
Candidates must obtain:
- Licensure in the state of practice within 45 days of receipt of Continental Testing Services (CTS) letter (Illinois)
- Temporary Permit (Wisconsin)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of the clinical environment.
