Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist Assistant Intern to join our team at St. Joseph's Health. As a Surgical Technologist Assistant Intern, you will assist in the perioperative setting, supporting our surgical team with patient care and preparation for procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and setup of operating rooms for surgical procedures
  • Support patient care and transportation during procedures
  • Learn and assist with decontamination, scope processing, and tray organization in central sterile
  • Participate in case picking and instrument preparation for surgical procedures
  • Work under the supervision of a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) and Registered Nurse (RN) circulator
Requirements
  • Current enrollment in a Surgical Technology program and good standing
  • Application to St. Joseph's Health and a letter of recommendation from the Surgical Technology program director or clinical instructor
  • CPR/BLS certification and certification eligibility as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
