Requirements

To join the Air Force as an Aircraft Structural Maintenance specialist, you must:

  • Meet the age requirement (17–42 years old)
  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Score a qualifying ASVAB score (47 Mechanical)
  • Complete 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
  • Meet other specific qualification standards
