LEAD CIVIL ESTIMATOR
Women of Asphalt is actively seeking a Lead Civil Estimator to join our dynamic team.

This role demands over 7 years of expertise in civil construction estimation, particularly focusing on highway interchanges, drainage systems, roads, and bridges.

The position is integral to our operations and will involve direct collaboration with the Area Manager.

The Lead Civil Estimator will undertake the following essential responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in road construction estimation with a strong background in Florida DOT projects.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in estimating projects typically valued between $5,000 and $50 million.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of construction assemblies and all phases of project development.

Required Skills:
  • Ability to generate precise estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.
  • Capability to produce detailed, final contract estimates.
  • Evaluate site exposures and construction risks, accurately reflecting these in estimates.
  • Identify constructability challenges during the estimating process and propose value-engineering alternatives.

Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid Software and AGTEK 4D is advantageous.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction field is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years in the road construction sector with proven bidding expertise; 10 years preferred.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory estimating role is mandatory.
  • Strong proficiency in take-off, estimating, and construction accounting software.
  • A valid Florida driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
