  • Daily census: 18
  • Beds: 21
  • Population: Adolescents - Geriatrics
Requirements

The requirements for this position include:

  • Tele weekend coverage
  • Every other unit systems: Pyxis, Cerner, SBAR
Experience Required

The experience required for this position includes:

  • Work settings: MS/Tele, Telemetry
  • Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams
  • Endocrine/Metabolic: IV Insulin Protocols
  • GI: Feeding tube care and management
  • Genitourinary/Renal: Pre/Post hemodialysis mgmt, Renal failure
  • IV Therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs
  • Medications: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCANeurological/Psychiatric: CVA, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury
  • Ortho: Trauma, Total joints
  • Plastics: Surgical drains
  • Respiratory/Thoracic: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen face masks, Tracheostomy Management
