Caliber Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Primary Care Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Chico, CA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional medical care to patients and employers, utilizing your clinical expertise to conduct health assessments, make differential diagnoses, and prescribe treatments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician oversight, including Department of Transportation (DOT) exams, where required.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care needs.
- Record physical findings, formulate plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition, and provide written patient instructions.
- Collaborate with Physicians and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plans for work-related injuries and illnesses and/or limited scope primary care in designated locations.
- Prescribe or recommend medications or other forms of treatment, such as physical therapy, acupuncture, or other related therapeutic procedures.
- Refer patients to overseeing Physicians for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
- Maintain medical records using designated electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate and coach clinical staff on best practices and assist center managers in facilitating program management.
- Master's degree required.
- At least one year (three years preferred) of clinical experience as an APRN/PA in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, urgent care, or emergency department setting.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) and APRN, or PA in state of practice.
- Nationally Certified as FNP, ANP, AGNP, or PA-C.
- Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for medical provider is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
- Appropriate certification and/or DEA license to write prescriptions under the authority of the Medical Leader, if allowed within state of practice.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
- Current DOT medical examiner certification in specified locations.
