We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team at Sunstate Mechanical Services.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (with occasional Saturdays based on project needs)
Compensation: $32 - $45 per hour, depending on experience
Position Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a drug screening.
- Must pass a motor vehicle history check.
- Proficiency in English is required for safety reasons.
- Possession of a personal tool kit is necessary.
- Completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check is mandatory.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds.
Key Responsibilities:
Your primary focus will be on HVAC installation and retrofitting. Key duties include:
- Conducting preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on rooftop units, humidifiers, packaged air conditioners, refrigerated air dryers, and control systems.
- Regularly working with chillers, cooling towers, hot water/steam boilers, condensers, chilled water pumps, and exhaust fans.
- Managing variable frequency drives, computer room AC equipment, air handling units, and air compressors.
- Installing commercial HVAC units.
- Providing training and guidance to apprentices.
- Performing additional tasks as required.
