Offshore Systems Commissioning Specialist needed for a leading Offshore Wind Energy Developer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and engage in the testing and operation of Offshore Substation (OSS) and Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) auxiliary systems, including but not limited to: heating, cooling, ventilation, water treatment, diesel storage, power supply, emergency generators, fire safety systems, lighting, navigational aids, and safety-critical equipment.
  • Ensure that offshore substation equipment is thoroughly tested and operates in accordance with design specifications.
  • Act as the onsite representative to witness, inspect, audit, and accept work activities and documentation related to commissioning.
  • Uphold the electrical health and safety program during all operational activities.
  • Authorize and supervise electrical activities as required, acting as the electrical authorized person.
  • Coordinate and document commissioning operations both onshore and offshore.
  • Monitor OSS commissioning progress and generate necessary reports.
  • Provide support for all commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist the Commissioning Manager with project planning and preparation tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with the OSS commissioning As-Built Documentation handover process.
  • Review technical procedures, documents, checklists, and schedules for accuracy and relevance.
  • Contribute to the development and review of plans and procedures for commissioning, isolation, and energization of assets.
  • Lead meetings with suppliers regarding commissioning execution.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with a focus on mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical/electrical construction or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of technical documentation, including drawings, single line diagrams, and specifications.
  • Proficient in testing and configuring electrical equipment and using associated measurement tools.
  • Experience in supervising low and high voltage electrical work, as well as electrical safety and isolation programs.
  • Proven experience supervising construction activities on various sites, including offshore and at heights.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required, with a valid passport and driver's license.
  • Capability to obtain necessary authorizations and pass background checks.
  • Ability to acquire GWO, HUET, and other relevant offshore fitness certifications.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage multiple work scopes and objectives effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage with diverse teams.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within a diverse, international team and adapt positively to project challenges.
