Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cake Decorator to join our Bakery team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience decorating bakery items and be able to perform Bakery operations, practices, and procedures within a retail grocery-bakery environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day and special occasion cake decorating as required.
• Wait on and work with customers, and perform Bakery Associate job functions when necessary.
• Operate department equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Meet department productivity, policy, standard operating procedures, quality, and safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Previous experience decorating bakery items.
• Able to perform Bakery operations, practices, and procedures within a retail grocery-bakery environment.
• Self-directed, results-oriented, and able to project a positive business image.
• Good attention to detail and follow-through skills.
• Good customer relations skills.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a physical environment with continuous exposure to cooler, water, and meeting physical demands. The ideal candidate will be able to work flexible shift schedules, including overtime and weekends.

Equipment/Tools Operated:

Proficient skill in operation of standard department equipment, including mixers, scales, fryers, knives, ovens, proofers, frosters, glazers, photo cake machine, airbrush, and sanitizing equipment.
