Senior Building Performance Engineer- Los Angeles, California

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Performance Engineer to join our team at PAE Consulting. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading project teams and managing the completion of projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Project team leadership and management
- Preparation of deliverable documents, including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Client meetings and coordination with external and internal project teams
- Energy saving calculations and cost estimates for energy conservation measures
- Independent evaluation and application of engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures
- Interdisciplinary coordination and advanced understanding of building codes and industry standards
- Project workplans, tasks, and assignments for the team
- Engineering calculations and equipment selection
- Site visits and issue reports
- Training, guidance, and mentorship for staff
- Updates to master specifications and standards, and improvement of company processes
- Client relationships and project quality management
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering for discipline work
- Relevant professional credential (i.e., PE)
- Experience with high performance and sustainable building practices
- Minimum of 6-10 years' work experience in the AEC/built environment industry
- Deliver high performance design analysis, including energy and water cycle, indoor environmental air quality, and climate change
- Proficient in mechanical system design, HVAC, and Energy Modeling
- Inspire and motivate staff
- Serve as a technical resource for the company
- Advanced understanding of engineering concepts and effective communication of design options
- Strong delegation skills and proficiency in building analysis & modeling
- Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills
