Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced administrative professional to join our team as a Laboratory Administrative Coordinator. This role will provide support to multiple supervisors, including Principal Investigators, and will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks related to grant management, personnel management, and lab operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and submit grant applications and progress reports in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Monitor awards, including fellowship and postdoctoral awards, utilizing reports and spreadsheets.
  • Maintain current biosketches and other support documentation for Investigators.
  • Assist PIs and laboratory staff with administrative duties related to lab activities.
  • Recruit and onboard new hires.
  • Maintain appointments and calendar for PI.
  • Coordinate travel for PI to scientific meetings.
  • Coordinate logistics of guest speakers for institute-wide events.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum three years directly related experience in an administrative role.
  • Ability to work with others of diverse backgrounds.
  • Capable of learning new skills.
  • Microsoft Office software proficiency.
  • Financial/Accounting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strategic planning.
