Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Dual Language Elementary Teacher to join our team at the Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic journey of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Instructional Leadership: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students in both Spanish and English, adhering to the designated percentages per grade level as determined by the Assistant Director of Language Programs and Principal.
  2. Differentiated Instruction: Utilize a range of instructional strategies to differentiate the product and process for students, ensuring that each child receives a tailored educational experience.
  3. English Language Development: Assume responsibility for the English Language Development of English Learners in the Dual Language program, providing targeted support to help them thrive academically.
  4. Technology Integration: Leverage various instructional technologies to enhance the learning experience and stay up-to-date with the latest educational tools and resources.
  5. Classroom Management: Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment, encouraging students to set and maintain district standards of behavior while enforcing school rules and administrative policies.
  6. Communication and Collaboration: Make provisions for being available to students and parents for educational purposes outside the instructional day, responding to requests in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Team Collaboration: Cooperate with other staff members in planning instructional goals and objectives, ensuring a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
  8. Professional Growth: Participate in ongoing professional development, workshops, seminars, conferences, and advanced coursework to stay current with best practices and expand your expertise.
  9. Student Progress: Regularly evaluate student progress, using this information to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  10. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and grading as instructed by the Principal, ensuring compliance with district and school policies.
  11. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum study groups, textbook committees, and other groups as assigned by the Principal.
