Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive on time and maintain a reliable attendance record.
- Present a neat and professional appearance by adhering to the designated uniform policy.
- Familiarize yourself with and follow all company policies and procedures, completing assigned tasks efficiently.
- Utilize effective selling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and boost sales.
- Maintain professionalism at all times while on duty, approaching each day with a positive mindset.
- Communicate effectively with management to enhance productivity and customer service.
- Exhibit integrity and honesty in all interactions while employed at Pitchoun.
- Welcome and seat guests as necessary.
- Understand the importance of service speed and efficiency.
- Perform various front-of-house operations, including food preparation, drink crafting, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the café.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience by serving guests promptly and courteously, addressing any concerns swiftly.
- Build lasting relationships with our community, recognizing and acknowledging frequent visitors.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of our products, including ingredients and cultural significance, to provide informed recommendations.
- Maintain attractive displays of pastries and breads throughout the day.
- Process sales transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling policies.
- Complete all necessary opening, mid, and closing tasks.
- Assist management with menu adjustments and pricing as needed.
- Answer phone calls professionally and take orders when required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in customer service or retail preferred.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and communicate effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to follow instructions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Proficient in computer use, including POS systems.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for quality and learning.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage stress effectively.
- Certification in all front-of-house roles is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, or lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to navigate stairs and maintain mobility within the café.
- Frequent use of computer and POS systems.
- Effective communication skills for customer interaction.
- Ability to distinguish flavors and aromas.
- Clear vision for tasks requiring detail.
Uniform Guidelines:
- Wear clean, black shoes and a black outfit.
- Utilize provided Pitchoun uniform items, including T-shirts, aprons, and hats.
