Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing 24-hour healthcare services to offenders at their assigned institution. Duties may vary based on area of assignment, but you will be conducting physical assessments, establishing nursing diagnoses, and referring offenders to practitioners as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical assessments and establish nursing diagnoses
- Provide medication and treatment as ordered
- Monitor medication compliance and observe effectiveness
- Provide health-related education to staff and offenders
- Maintain department compliance for inspections
Requirements:
- Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
- Current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA
- Ability to perform essential job functions
