Position Overview

The Hydraulic Equipment Mechanic is tasked with the inspection and repair of various vehicles and machinery. This role includes overseeing maintenance checks, managing inventory, assembling mechanical parts, and executing repairs. The Hydraulic Equipment Mechanic functions as a hydraulic technician, responsible for the installation, upkeep, and repair of hydraulic components on machinery.

Key Responsibilities Include

Primary Duties:
  • Performs routine maintenance on machinery, systems, and vehicles
  • Develops action plans for all tasks and enhancements
  • Inspects machines and supervises diagnostic evaluations to identify functionality issues
  • Maintains detailed work logs, repair, and maintenance documentation
  • Rotates and balances tires, checks oil, filters, and fluids, lubricates components, inspects and replaces hoses and belts
  • Reassembles machinery and equipment
  • Controls costs through warranty claims and assesses service and parts alternatives
  • Enhances knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities, such as reviewing technical literature
  • Responsibilities may be adjusted with or without prior notice
Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Mechanic
  • Comprehensive understanding of vehicle diagnostic tools and mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with essential job functions and responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Capability to resolve problems effectively
  • Ability to meet all physical demands of the role
  • Must pass all required drug and alcohol screenings as per Company policy and, if applicable, DOT regulations
  • Must be at least 18 years old, or 21 if a CDL is necessary
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or Vocational/Trade School Certification
  • Welding Certifications
  • ASE Certifications
  • Fluid Power Certifications
  • Class A CDL License
