We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Houseperson Event Setup Specialist to join our team at Virginia Crossings Hotel and Convention Center. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless event execution and exceeding our guests' expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review event function needs to guarantee optimal services and products are available
- Set up event spaces according to specifications, paying close attention to detail
- Break down and store furniture, linens, and equipment after events, maintaining a clean and organized environment
- Respond to guest and team feedback regarding space presentation and make necessary adjustments
- Assist in resolving any issues related to event services, demonstrating problem-solving skills
- Collaborate with colleagues to uphold policies and procedures for guest and team safety
- Assist in ordering, receiving, storing, and inventorying set-up related products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and organization
- Support team members and other departments as needed to optimize operational efficiency
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn
