Key Responsibilities- Implement physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, ensuring safe and effective care for patients.
- Document patient progress, findings, and instructions to caregivers, maintaining accurate and detailed medical records.
- Assist with program development, providing input on treatment strategies and patient care protocols.
- Train and guide students and interns, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
- Collaborate with the Director, Manager, or Level III to ensure smooth department operations, adhering to Memorial Hermann's policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant or physical therapist program.
- Current license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners or the Physical Therapy Compact Commission.
- Current Certification in Basic Life Support.
- Ability to lift up to 75/100 pounds, carry up to 30 pounds, and perform prolonged standing, frequent walking, stooping, and squatting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
