We offer a competitive salary range of $127,890.00 - $211,180.00 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.

Job Description
Red Hat's Data Development, Insights & Strategy team seeks a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to spearhead our cloud-scale initiatives. This role involves developing and operating our GitOps-based infrastructure as code automation platforms, focusing on aligning product, processes, and policies for data services environments. You will contribute to defining Service level Objectives, creating standard operating procedures, and participating in follow-the-sun on-call rotations. As an SRE, you will play a critical role in influencing complex challenges related to scale and security in developing, operating Red Hat data platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and operate cloud solutions at scale using principles of Site Reliability Engineering
- Collaborate in design and development of new features enabling Data 'as-a-service'
- Design and write automation software to provision, upgrade, monitor, and heal Data 'as-a-service'
- Analyze and resolve high-risk architecture issues; implement more resilient resolutions
- Develop and implement Service level Objectives, along with runbooks
- Participate in product release cycles, deploying code to integration, staging, and production environments, integrating with CI/CD tooling, monitoring, and change management
- Engage with automated monitoring and healing infrastructure to ensure healthy environments
- Mentor and guide peers through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and collaboration
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for performing maintenance tasks, applying configuration changes, and remediating problems in our environment
- Contribute to a follow-the-sun on-call rotation

Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in software development, deployment, and operation of cloud-based systems
- Proven expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure as code automation platforms - Terraform/Ansible is preferred
- Experience with public cloud services, preferably AWS
- Knowledge of container orchestration using Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Fivetran, or similar technologies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
