**Job Description:** Transportation Specialist

Calm and professional demeanor, with a focus on customer service, is required for this full-time position as a Transportation Specialist at Calhoun City Schools. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to multitask effectively.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating a school bus, managing routes, and ensuring the safety and well-being of students. A valid Georgia CDL with PS endorsement is required, along with a clean driving record and excellent interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with children, be physically fit, and possess the ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment.

About the Job:

  • Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Location: Calhoun City Schools
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience working with children preferred
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid Georgia CDL with PS endorsement

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate a school bus on designated routes, following a predetermined schedule
  2. Manage routes and schedules to ensure efficient transportation
  3. Ensure student safety during transport
  4. Communicate effectively with dispatch and other stakeholders
  5. Maintain a clean and organized bus

Requirements:

  • Valid Georgia CDL with PS endorsement
  • Good driving record
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage stress in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
