Job Description

Position Overview

The role involves providing compassionate care for elderly, disabled, convalescent, or handicapped individuals in their homes or daytime facilities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will:

  • Support clients with their daily living activities at their residence.
  • Perform various household tasks such as making beds, doing laundry, preparing meals, washing dishes, ironing, cleaning, bathing, and dressing.
  • Shop for and prepare meals and groceries tailored to the client's needs.

Additionally, you will assist clients with mobility, helping them navigate stairs and transitions in and out of bed.

  • Administer prescribed oral medications as directed by a healthcare professional.
  • Accompany ambulatory clients on outings outside their home.
  • Engage clients through conversation, reading, and listening, as requested.
  • Provide updates to family members regarding the health and status of the individual receiving care.

Qualifications

Education:
A minimum of a High School Diploma is required.

Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in critical thinking.
