Job Summary

SpaceX is seeking a highly skilled Welding Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Starship fabrication team, you will be responsible for overseeing the welding operations and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement welding procedures to ensure efficient and safe production
  • Collaborate with the fabrication team to design and implement tooling and fixturing
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior welders
  • Ensure compliance with welding codes and standards
  • Manage personnel and supervise daily operations
  • Review and edit documentation, including work reports and record keeping

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in welding, with a focus on gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), TIG, or gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
  • 3+ years of experience in a direct leadership role
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience managing a team of 10+ employees
  • Ability to interpret drawings and weld symbols per AWS A2.4
  • Knowledge of AWS D1.1, D1.6, and D1.2

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: $105,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Exempt employees are eligible for 5 days of sick leave per year.
