Cogent is seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Technician to join our team in Golden, Colorado. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical control systems for our clients in the water and wastewater industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, start-up, and calibrate process instrumentation, including flow meters, pressure transmitters, and analytical instrumentation.
- Perform electrical wiring, conduit, and wire installations of control panels, including entire service entrance equipment.
- Assist in planning, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of new or modified installations for electrical systems.
- Work as an Emergency Responder as necessary, and be prepared to travel on short notice and work outside of normal business hours.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; degree from a Technical or Vocational school in Mechanics or Electronics preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical control systems required.
- Ability to work overtime on short notice required.
- High level communication and organization skills, as well as a positive attitude towards customer service required.
- Basic computer knowledge required (Gmail, Word, Excel).
- Ability to manually lift and maneuver heavy objects, parts, equipment, and materials required.
