Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrocardiogram Technician to join our team at Millennium Physician Group. As an ECG Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by performing electrocardiogram procedures and related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrocardiogram procedures on patients, including 12-lead ECG tracings and rhythm strips
  • Coordinate outpatient testing with inpatient demands, prioritizing emergency requests and "stat" calls
  • Apply and remove holter monitors and event monitors, providing instructions to patients on their use
  • Complete necessary forms and requests related to procedures
  • Prep patient skin according to policy and procedure to ensure best possible recording
  • Remove holter monitor at scheduled time, complete necessary paperwork, and download files into computer
  • Perform various clerical duties, coordinating patient testing demand with clerical responsibilities to ensure proper document flow and storage
  • Types relevant information onto ECG tracing and stress tests, ensuring accuracy and exhibiting basic computer skills
  • Types ECGs, stress tests, and holter monitor reports, performs photocopying and filing to ensure proper document flow and storage
  • Answers ECG lab phones within five rings in a professional and courteous manner, identifying self and unit at all times
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology preferred
  • 6-12 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Medical terminology and previous experience in clinic setting
  • Experience using computer ECG Management and Electronic Medical Record system
  • CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) National Certification and BLS preferred
