Role Summary:
The Child Care Support Educator will assist Lead Educators in creating a nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. This role is essential in helping children develop essential cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills through engaging activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing curriculum through engaging classroom activities that align with early learning standards.
- Collaborate with co-teachers to plan and execute age-appropriate activities that promote holistic development.
- Maintain open communication with parents through discussions and progress updates.
- Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
- Support a healthy classroom environment by upholding hygiene and safety standards.
- Keep accurate records and documentation as required.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices.
- Foster a positive team atmosphere and a welcoming environment for children and families.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, with relevant higher education credits as per state regulations.
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in child care.
- Current Infant/Child First Aid and CPR Certifications (can be obtained within four weeks of employment).
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and work collaboratively with others.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with emerging leadership capabilities.
- Adherence to all company policies and state licensing requirements.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
