The role of the Registered Nurse in Outpatient Surgical Services is crucial in delivering exceptional patient care. This position is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to assess patient needs, prioritize care, and delegate responsibilities based on individual patient evaluations. The RN will adhere to the policies and procedures of the organization while supporting the mission and values of Catholic Health Initiatives.
Incentives
This role includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus and potential relocation assistance for eligible candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and preparatory care for all surgical outpatients, focusing on the prevention of complications.
- Continuously monitor patient health, identifying changes in symptoms or pain, and respond appropriately.
- Act decisively in life-threatening situations, following established nursing standards and protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient transitions throughout the facility.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with organizational policies.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding care and procedures.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly in the designated formats.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse is necessary.
Licensure and Certifications
Current RN license in North Dakota.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
Essential Skills and Abilities
Excellent oral communication skills.
Ability to manage conflicts and interact with challenging individuals.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and processes.
Capability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $46.51 per hour.
