Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler System Designer to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler System Designer, you will be responsible for designing and laying out sprinkler systems using specialized CAD software packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Interpret and apply applicable NFPA standards to the design and/or layout of the sprinkler systems.
  • Design and layout sprinkler systems using specialized CAD software packages.
  • Perform field checks of completed designs to verify accuracy.
  • Work closely with district contracting teams to understand contracts, scheduling, and delivery needs.
  • Mentor others in the proper execution of sprinkler design.
  • Assist sales in design estimations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1+ years of fire sprinkler design experience.
  • Working experience of AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Sprinkler Design Software or equivalent sprinkler design software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to solve basic math problems including geometry and algebra.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MSOffice, Sprinkler Design Software, and a hydraulic calculation program.
  • Interpret and apply applicable NFPA standards for Automatic Sprinkler System Layout.
  • NICET III certification preferred.
