Job Summary

The Senior Faculty Development Manager will play a critical role in supporting and creating faculty education and training programs for Chamberlain University. This position will serve as the lead nurse planner, ensuring professional credentialing through the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) is maintained, and lead all university/college professional designations and professional credentials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with University leadership to identify faculty needs and deliver educational offerings to advance faculty effectiveness and professional development.
  • Recruit and oversee facilitators and subject matter experts.
  • Develop and implement Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) designation programs, expanding the program and writing curriculum for all health professions faculty.
  • Collaborate with the ANCC to become the first academic institution to offer an accredited transition-to-practice program for faculty.
  • Lead reaccreditation of all professional organization credentials and Center of Excellence designation.
  • Serve as Lead Nurse Planner, ensuring programs comply with relevant criteria, such as those set by the ANCC/IPCE.
  • Provide strategic direction for faculty development communication campaigns.
  • Responsible for evaluation and updates of program materials.
  • Recommend and implement technology to facilitate faculty training and development cost-effectively.

Qualifications

  • PhD in nursing (or related field) from a regionally accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of significant experience in a position of academic leadership.
  • 5+ years of related experience in higher education and a track record of success as a faculty member.
  • 3+ years of experience teaching in an online environment.
  • 2+ years of curriculum development experience.
  • Previous scholarship commensurate with Assistant Professor Rank or above.
  • Knowledge of current research related to andragogy, particularly in higher education settings.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equitable and inclusive practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate the details of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to manage a variety of business and vendor resources.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision and direction.
  • Proficient with project management practices and tools.
  • Capability to influence and instill credibility in administrative team peers and subordinates.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build relationships.
  • Proven effective and consistent interpersonal, organizational, conflict resolution, management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Current unencumbered registered nurse license.
  • Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) certification within 1-1/2 years (preferred).
  • Lead Nurse Planner – ANCC NCPD within 180 days (preferred).
