We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and perform laboratory tests and procedures, including preparing and testing specimens for examination and reporting results.
- Follow established quality control procedures, including recording data and maintaining equipment and records.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment and troubleshoot technical problems.
- Ensure quality control and assurance activities are maintained, and infection control practices are followed.
- Perform related duties as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Basic Science, or related field, preferred.
- Licensed by New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, required.
- Minimum of one (1) year work experience and/or training specific to the work being done in the area noted above, required.
The salary range for this position is $53-$53/hour. Northwell Health is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
