We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at New River Electrical Corporation. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models, analyzing budget, forecast and actual results, and providing guidance for organizational decision making.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Analysis: Consolidate and analyze financial data (budget, income statement forecasts, etc.) considering company's goals and financial standing.
- Financial Modeling: Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis to support organizational decision making.
- Financial Reporting: Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Process Improvement: Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to management.
- Cash Forecasting: Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts.
- Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain cash forecast model. Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
- Policy Development: Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function.
- Confidentiality: Protects company by keeping financial information confidential.
- Professional Development: Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience.
- Skills: Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Vista, preferred but not required.
- Personal Qualities: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to identify data patterns. Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
