We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse RN PACU to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood. As a Surgical Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients in the post-anesthesia period.
Key Responsibilities- Care for and manage the surgical patient in the post-anesthesia period, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
- Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
- Provide effective communication, confidence, and professionalism, actively engaging in unit and organizational activities.
- Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Accountable for delivering quality nursing care services and promoting a positive image of nursing, upholding the highest standards of patient care.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required; BSN is preferred.
- 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Recovery Room setting is required.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification are required.
