Job Title: Shine Associate

At Family Express, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shine Associate to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our exterior premises.

Job Summary:

The Shine Associate will be responsible for ensuring that our outdoor areas, including parking lots, fuel pumps, and surrounding grounds, are clean, organized, and free of debris. This includes:

  • Cleaning fuel pumps and ensuring security seals are present
  • Checking decals on fuel dispensers and replacing them as needed
  • Cleaning and shining outside trash cans and ensuring washer fluid reservoirs are clean and filled
  • Performing lot maintenance, including removing cigarettes and trash in the lot and adjacent lots
  • Assisting with basic landscaping tasks, such as trimming bushes, picking up branches, pulling weeds, applying weed killer, and watering plants
  • Cleaning and filling outside water/fluid merchandizer
  • Cleaning outside windows and ledges
  • Cleaning Car Wash and Pet Wash
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license (preferred)
  • Reliable transportation to all Family Express locations within assigned territory
  • Strong customer orientation and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, and to tolerate exposure to cleaning solvents. You will also need to be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
