Job SummaryThis role is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a truck to deliver equipment to customer job sites, while maintaining accurate records and providing excellent customer service.
The position is full-time local driving, M-F, 1st shift with no overnights/weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities- Load and transport equipment to customer job sites in a safe and timely manner, ensuring product integrity during transit
- Unloading products in an efficient and courteous manner, placing orders in locations requested by customers
- Performing pre and post-trip DOT truck inspections, checking fuel, oil, water, hoses, brakes, lights, and tires to ensure readiness for use, and notifying management of needed repairs
- Completing and distributing required paperwork, including delivery information, inspection forms, route sheets, signed invoices, and mileage forms, as well as completing daily trip reports following DOT regulations
- Tagging all units picked up with relevant information, including customer name, problem, and status
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid NYS CDL A Driver License with HAZMAT certification free of major infractions
- Ability to operate a truck, trailer, forklift, and front-end loaders.
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment
- Able to perform tasks requiring mental and visual attention, such as vehicle operation and safety checks
