About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Surgery Technician to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Surgeons and Anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, including pre and post-operative care and anesthesia recovery.
  • Facilitate Patient Care for outpatient appointments, including consultations and rechecks.
  • Perform Advanced Veterinary Technician Skills, including IV, IM, and SubQ injections, IV catheter placements, arterial catheter placement, epidural administration, and splint placements.
  • Assist with Radiographs and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Participate in Surgery Team Responsibilities, including setting up and turning over operating rooms, preparing exam rooms and instruments, and completing daily safety and cleaning duties.
  • Communicate with Clients, including providing financial estimates and collecting payment.
  • Interface with Other Departments within the hospital as needed.
Requirements
  • Four Years' Work Experience as a Veterinary Technician, with at least two years in Critical Care/ICU or surgery/anesthesia.
  • Registered in the State of Colorado as a Veterinary Technician or ability to become registered upon hire.
  • Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology and veterinary technician certification preferred.
  • Strong Ability to Multitask and anticipate needs, with excellent patient care standards and advanced technical skills.
