Obran Cooperative is seeking a skilled Freight Truck Driver to safely operate a 16' to 18' box truck with a capacity of at least 24,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). The ideal candidate will have a clean Type 3 Driver's License, be a clear communicator, reliable, and accountable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Verify invoices and purchase orders for accuracy.
  • Inspect delivery vehicles and ensure the safety and security of the loading and unloading process.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the loading and unloading process.
  • Contact customers to confirm delivery details when necessary.
  • Determine placement of merchandise and follow safety and lifting protocols during deliveries.
  • Maintain delivery logs and records.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in truck driving or related fields (preferred).
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Familiarity with local streets, neighborhoods, and routes.
  • Must be responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to handle physical workload (up to 50 pounds).
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be willing and able to drive a flatbed and/or box truck.
