Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Ortho Sports Surgery team. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional nursing care to patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural phase.

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering direct nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia.
  • Adhering to aseptic techniques in accordance with the standards set by the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses and the American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nurses.
  • Assessing patient responses to medical treatments and interventions.
  • Managing and alleviating patient pain effectively.
  • Anticipating specific needs based on procedural knowledge and understanding of patient conditions.
Qualifications

Required Licensure / Certification:

  • Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire.
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire.
  • Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire.

Required Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited nursing school or required professional licensure at the time of hire.
