Position Overview:
As a Biodiesel Production Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing operations within our biodiesel manufacturing facility. Your role will involve monitoring and optimizing production processes to ensure high-quality output and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor the biodiesel Distributed Control System (DCS).
  • Assist in managing production workflows and oversee facility operations.
  • Conduct quality control assessments on various products including oil, biodiesel, and glycerin.
  • Implement continuous improvements in quality control processes.
  • Maintain compliance with BQ-9000 standards for production and documentation.
  • Manage inventory of process supplies and ensure proper labeling and storage of samples.
  • Perform routine facility maintenance and equipment inspections.
  • Generate and analyze daily operational reports.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the workplace.
  • Support the manufacturing and packaging of specialty oil products.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in load-out operations and shipping/receiving.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Forklift Operator Certification is required.
  • Ability to operate various plant machinery and equipment.
  • Knowledge of biodiesel processing and BQ-9000 compliance.
  • Strong mathematical skills and color differentiation abilities.
Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong multitasking abilities to meet operational deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including:
  • Continuous standing and walking.
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Frequent lifting and moving of materials up to 75 lbs.
Working Environment:
Employees may be exposed to various environmental conditions including temperature fluctuations, noise, and chemical substances. Safety equipment and protocols must be strictly followed to ensure a safe working environment.
