High Power RF Electronics Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled High Power RF Electronics Maintenance Specialist to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT).
Job OverviewAs a High Power RF Electronics Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and operating high power microwave transmitters used for RF research. You will be responsible for designing and setting up experiments using various RF sources, maintaining lab notebooks and data collection files, and performing data analysis and interpretation.
This position requires a strong understanding of RF technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, experience with high power microwave transmitters, and knowledge of RF dosimetry.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and operate high power microwave transmitters used for RF research.
- Design and set up experiments using various RF sources.
- Maintain lab notebooks and data collection files.
- Perform data analysis and interpretation.
- Compose written methods of dosimetry and data collection processes for publication.
- Perform safety measurements and ensure safety regulations and procedures are followed.
- Fabricate various test setups from raw materials to be used in experiments dealing with RF.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience in RF electronics maintenance and repair.
- A degree in electronics or a related field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
