Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in assisting the development and sustaining of new or improved techniques, procedures, and products in the wellhead technology domain. This position requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in wellhead technology.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in identifying and organizing project requirements.
- Apply relevant usability procedures and principles to ensure innovative solutions.
- Analyze, design, develop, and maintain products, and assist in their commercialization.
- Build prototypes, products, and systems suitable for testing and evaluation.
- Set up and run lab simulations to validate product performance.
- Design and implement tests, document results, and develop customer presentations.
- Provide timely corrective actions on defects and ensure product quality.
- Produce analyses and mathematical models to inform design decisions.
- Conduct or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code, and other artifacts.
- Contribute to design standards and support design re-use.
- Create and maintain product documentation, including user manuals and technical guides.
- Provide support to field and customers through InTouch, a remote support platform.
- Provide user training as required to ensure effective product use.
- Assign, direct, and review work of technicians and provide guidance to engineers.
- With seniority, mentor junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise.
- Continually evaluate engineering approaches and risks to ensure innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- Author technical reports, papers, articles, patents, and presentations to share knowledge and expertise.
- Share expertise via Eureka, a knowledge-sharing platform, and special interest groups.
- Expand informal networks throughout the organization to stay informed about novel technical concepts and markets.
- Adopt new practices readily to develop innovative and low-cost products.
- Maintain familiarity with company technology, organization, and business to ensure effective collaboration.
- Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements as defined in the risk control matrix.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Have 4-5 years of experience in wellhead technology.
- Be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship.
The compensation and benefits for this role are listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000-$110,000. SLB offers competitive compensation and benefits programs, including variable pay, health care coverage, retirement plan, protection coverage, time off and leave programs, and training and development opportunities.
