As a Respiratory Therapist with Christus Health, you will play a critical role in the pulmonary care of adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Under the direction of a physician, you will perform patient assessments, institute respiratory care plans, and execute various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures in all areas of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Operate and maintain ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, and other respiratory equipment.
- Conduct chest film analysis, blood gas collection and analysis, EKG analysis, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- RT or RCP License in the state of employment.
- BLS certification.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- ACLS certification.
- PALS certification.
- NRP certification.
