UPMC Life Changing Medicine is seeking a skilled Painter/Plasterer to support their Maintenance and Facilities department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply paint and finish drywall to industry standard production levels.
  • Perform inspections of fire separation and install fire stopping at UL standards.
  • Assist carpenters in construction projects, including stud walls, drywall installation, and tile work.
  • Surface finishing and grouting of tile, stone, and marble.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to infection control procedures.
  • Perform minor repair jobs on walls before painting.
  • Custom tile installation and setting; repair/replacement of existing materials.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year full-time experience as a painter in industry, commercial, or an institution.
  • Preferred completion of a certified apprentice painting program.
  • Working knowledge of fire-rated applications and installation standards.
  • Current driver's license and UL certification for fire stopping application/installation.
