About the Role

Saint Vincent Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our Labor and Delivery team on a per diem basis. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring the proper setup of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room, including setting up and breaking down equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a surgical technician program, as required by state regulation of practice or policy.
  • 1 year of experience as a surgical technician, preferred.
  • BLS certification, required.
  • Surgical Technology Certification, preferred.
