Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN is responsible for conducting radiologic procedures to provide data for patient diagnosis. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Operate x-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated body parts.
- Perform x-ray therapy on patients under the supervision of a Radiologist.
- Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Position patients using immobilization devices to ensure accurate and safe imaging.
- Administer barium salts or other chemical mixtures as required.
- Operate stationary and portable equipment in various hospital settings.
- Develop and process radiographic images.
- Monitor and record patient data using computerized documentation systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
- Provide a safe environment for administering contrast material.
- Assist with patient transportation as needed.
- Follow Standard Precautions to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
- ARRT NMT Certification or NMT Certification.
- Current FL state licensure (Dept. of Health).
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
HCA Florida St. Lucie Hospital is a 229-bed acute care facility accredited by the Joint Commission. We provide a full range of services, including a birthing center, cardiac catheterization lab, cancer care, and breast center. Our hospital offers minimally-invasive and robotic surgery, general and vascular surgery, and orthopedic and spine care.
