Position Overview (Dispensary Associate):

The Dispensary Associate plays a crucial role in engaging with and educating patients and customers both in-person and over the phone. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, assisting with inventory and cash management, and collaborating with local service providers. Associates will receive cross-training in various workstations within the facility, including order fulfillment, point-of-sale operations, patient identification verification, and curbside sales. Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients and customers in person or via phone; manage appointment scheduling and oversee patient intake and renewal processes.
  • Ensure patient records are maintained in accordance with state regulations and company policies.
  • Provide accurate information regarding laws and company policies to patients and customers.
  • Assist patients and customers in selecting suitable products, offering guidance on safe usage and dosage.
  • Support Dispensary Leads, Assistant Manager, and Dispensary Manager with inventory and cash management on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment both inside and outside the facility.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dispensary Manager based on company needs.
Qualifications for Success:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a fast-paced customer service environment, preferably in hospitality or retail.
  • Ability to pass a state-mandated background check.
  • Proficient in computer operations necessary for office and retail management (POS systems, Word, Excel, office equipment).
  • Familiarity with medical cannabis and its benefits is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure during stressful situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, flexible, adaptable, and capable of multitasking.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Strong skills in cash management and inventory control.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Effective planning and prioritization skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to focus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
