Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Foreman with hands-on expertise in water/wastewater projects and/or heavy commercial construction to supervise project execution, ensure accurate cost estimates, review blueprints and specifications, and uphold on-site safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Repair: Install and repair underground pipes, fittings, and valves of various materials and sizes for storm or sanitation sewers, drainage systems, and water mains.
  • Pipe Positioning: Employ pipe lasers and transits to precisely position pipes and fittings in trenches.
  • Site Safety: Provide hand signals to equipment operators and ensure strict adherence to job site safety protocols.
  • Backfilling: Utilize hand tools to backfill trenches.
  • Leak Testing: Measure, cut, and conduct leak tests on pipes.
  • Project Management: Maintain alignment with project plans and schedules to meet production targets.
  • Crew Management: Develop a prioritized work plan for the crew based on project requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct equipment checks to ensure proper working conditions.
  • Reporting: Prepare necessary reports as required.
  • Heavy Equipment Operations: Possess knowledge of heavy equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Project Experience: Demonstrate experience in heavy civil construction, particularly in water/wastewater projects.
  • Pipe Laying Techniques: Understand pipe laying techniques for water mains, sanitary sewers, and storm sewers, with the ability to interpret plans and specifications.
  • Trench Safety: Preferred knowledge of trench safety, rigging/signaling, and experience with ductile, steel, and PVC pipes.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for multi-state projects.
