Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Labor and Delivery Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to expectant mothers and their families during the labor and delivery process.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients on admission and throughout their stay to identify their physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on comprehensive assessments and ongoing evaluations.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor patients for effectiveness and potential side effects.
  • Perform various medical procedures, including fetal monitoring and labor support, while maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of California.
  • At least 3 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery, with a focus on acute care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with fetal monitoring and labor support.
  • Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures related to Labor and Delivery.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Work Environment:

This is a travel assignment with a 36-hour workweek, with 12 hours per day and 3 days per week. The schedule is Monday to Wednesday, with a start date of November 4, 2024. The location is Moreno Valley, California.
